Fulcrum was retained by North Idaho College to investigate suspect moisture impact associated with leaking seams associated with shower surrounds in their dormitory building. Fulcrum’s Board Certified Microbial Investigator inspected the shower surrounds and identified moisture and impact to gypsum wallboard materials underlying the shower surroundsin select locations.

Fulcrum prepared a remedial work plan calling for each shower surround area to be placed within a negative pressure containment and isolated from the building HVAC system while the tub, shower surround, and all underlying wallboard materials were removed. Following removal and cleaning of the work area, Fulcrum completed a verification inspection of each work are confirming removal of all required building materials and absence of any remaining areas of suspect moisture or mold impact or associated debris. Work was completed over summer break while the facility was not occupied. Remedial activities were completed by a restoration contractor under separate contract to North Idaho College.
